[Dx4win] Elecraft K3 / DX4Win Radio Settings - Assistance Please

Just connected my new Elecraft K3 transceiver to computer running XP service
pack 3 and my computer indicates DX4WIN is using my entire CPU time.  My
preference settings are:
 
Radio:

Baud Rate         4800
 
Notes for radio            blank
 
Com Port           Com5
Poll Rate           1000 (ms)
Max tries          6
DTR high          unchecked
RTS high          unchecked
 
There is no second radio.  My previous Kenwood TS-570D when connected does
not cause excessive CPU usage.  Suggestions please!!!
