Thanks for the input Don.  Some others have recommended other approaches because they use groups for contest.  I guess you could still do that with additional groups for the contests.

  I use groups. One for VE3XD and one for VE3XD/W4. I also have a group for my old callsign VE3BUC and a few other groups for temporary callsigns I've used for special events.. There are over 100,000 Qs in my DX4WIN log and this approach works very well.

  As a new DX4WIN user, I was wondering the best approach to using the program from two different QTH.  They are 100 miles appart and I'd like to keep the activity separate.  Is this an appropriate use of Groups or jsut separate log files?
