Personally, I would buy a solution the microKeyer with built-in USB sound card.
Barring that, I would research sound cards that have passed the
WriteLog Sound Board Check:

Sound Board Check V9.22
7f (hex) is considered the best score.
Also not all sound cards are properly supported by the various
microHAM products. Something about the various sound card inputs, and
I think it applies mostly to Vista/Win7. Check both the WriteLog and
microHAM reflector archives for details.
Keep in mind what slots your PC has. PCI is getting replaced by
PCI-e. You may not have enough slots if you want a real
serial/parallel PCI card and a second (or two) sound cards, especially
if you already have a graphics card that takes one or two PCI-e slots.
Best to get the most-compatible sound card you can, for future expansion.
