[Dx4win] microKEYER II Question

re leaving in "Add real-time". I didn't used to... but with the new
bandmap, I usually do.
I have run into issues with Microham (original Microkeyer). The radio
stops responding to the COM port even though the frequency is tracked by
uRouter. It seems to happen if I leave the radio on for a long period of
time. I also power the microkeyer from the radio.
There are still occasionally timeout issues with Icoms.
I have a few issues with my microham and Winkey that I can trigger by
cycling the power on the radio.
Also you have to stop the radio and restart it if you change the radio
in preferences(necessary if you have more than 2).
I never had any of these issues with a number of other programs I have
or do use.
There is also the problem of a program hang if a COM port is busy.
I don't want to create the impression that Paul's COM port routines are
flaky... they are a lot better than that... but they still have a few
issues possibly with exception handling. Let's say they aren't yet
exactly bullet-proof ;-)
I'm pretty sure paul could fix these minor issues with the COM ports...
if he ever finds the time... but I will wait 'till he gets 8.03 out
before even raising them seriously.
In the mean-time... I start the radio (which also power up the
microkeyer) before starting DX4Win and all is usually well.
