Hi ,

Version 8, not clocked that but then....

Is there any chance that the system could be made to speak the frequency and 
the callsign? Thinking in terms of using redundant EchoLink / IRLP node time 
to announce pertinent DX?

Maybe still got something set incorrectly but with VE7CC feeding the spots, 
the CC voice has taken over...not DX4?

Any ideas?

I used DXbase at one time, but only the DOS version.  It might have
been my 2nd logging program, PAYL DXLog being the first.  DXbase was
cutting-edge at the time, but the one thing that annoyed me was having
to constantly re-index to get updated award status, etc.  I found the
Windows versions(s) intimidating, and being a programmer myself, that
says something.

It's sad to see something like this close up shop, but based on lack
of upgrades, as well as Dayton attendance (or lack thereof), it's not
all that surprising.


Finally, for those of you waiting for DX4WIN version 8, I can report
that Paul is anxious to release it, and we're just getting the final
documentation updated.  In fact, it might be the first time I've ever
read the manual cover-to-cover (all 205 pages), and I learned a lot
about the program in doing so, even though I have been using it over
10 years!
