[Dx4win] Confirmations

After years of procrastination, I recently pretty much caught up with 
DXCC QSLing and turned my attention to WAZ. I earned 5BWAZ several years 
ago and have the certificate, and was planning to bring cards for 
several single-band/single-mode WAZ applications to Visalia tomorrow. 
Rumor has it that a CQ guy will be there to check WAZ cards. As Murphy 
would have it, I stumbled over a glitch.

I find that, for at least part of my log, downloaded LOTW confirmations 
have set not only the UPL CONF flag but the CONF flag, as well. This is 
not a problem for DXCC, but WAZ still requires QSL cards. So, when I 
went looking for cards that--according to the log-- should have been in 
the box, they generally were not, except for QSO's that really have both 
confirmations.

I discovered this problem after invoking Reports/WAZ/Submission, right 
from zone 1. I initially thought the cause was in File/Preferences/QSO, 
where Card or Upload was selected. But changing the preference to Card 
in Hand and saving it changed the summaries but changed nothing in the 
Reports/WAZ/Submission window!

I have three questions:

    * How did this happen? I suspect that, as a new LOTW user a cuppla
      years ago I must have chosen the wrong import option when
      downloading the QSL report from LOTW.
    * Can it be reversed at this point? I am not looking forward to
      serially going through 40,000 QSO's!
    * Why isn't the Submission matrix responding to the Preferences change?

I am pretty much dead in the water for the WAZ submission at Visalia. I 
would like to get this sorted out before Dayton.

Any enlightenment will be appreciated.
