This is more of a comment than anything else.
I have an ICOM 756 Pro III. I also have a microHAM microKEYER to read
the frequency of the radio.
I have DX4WIN configured to store the frequency in the "Notes for this
QSO" field (via "contest mode').
Before I moved, I occasionally had frequency logging errors in 7.04.
The band was usually correct, but the frequency DX4WIN logged could be
off by a factor of 10 (i.e. a 40 meter QSO might be at 70,254 KHz
instead of 7,025 KHz).
I am currently using the 7.2.2 uRouter firmware in the microHAM keyer
(I had been using 7.1.5 before that). My radio is set to 19.2K baud.
I don't remember what the poll rate in DX4WIN is set to, but I think
it's 1000 mS (1 second).
Since getting back on the air in August, I have not detected a single
frequency logging error.
What changed exactly? I'm not sure. It was either something Paul did
in 7.05, or the new uRouter firmware. Either way I'm a happy camper.
Has anyone using a configuration like this had any frequency logging
errors lately?
