Hi John,
Try the following
Set the LPT port to EPP only in your PC BIOS
Maybe this will help

Guy

There is no hardware between the LPT1 port and the Quadra. It is a stright
through cable from the 25 way D-type connector on the PC to the DIN
connector on the back of the Quada. Nothing I do in DX4Win will initilaise
the control link - I have tried logging QSO's, pressing F9, clicking on
spots.

I have checked in 'Control Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager' to see the
status of the LPT port. There is no difference in the settings after I have
used Win-Test or after I have used DX4Win.

Maybe this is a PC related issue? I cannot understand why it should
initialise in Win-Test OK and thereafter work OK in DX4Win, but not work OK
if I use DX4Win straight from bootup.

Any more ideas?? This one is baffling me!

Thanks, John G4IRN.
