An intermediate observation on CAT functionality for the FTDX9000D, firware 3.24, with the logging software DX4WIN:
Testing with software Free-Serial-Port-Monitor:
DX4WIN uses multiple commands when you click on a spot in the DXcluster window. Typically a spot with QSX (=split) information the commands are seen to be:
RC;FT1;FR0;MD02;
FA14192000;MD12;
FB14225000;FT;
RC= Set RX Clarifier Offset Clear
FT1= Set Sub Band (VFO-B) Transmitter:TX
FR0= Set Mani Band (VFO-A) Reciever:RX
MD02= Set Operatin Mode Main Band (VFO-A), mode USB
FA= Set Main Band (VFO-A) frequency to 14192000 Hz
MD12= Set Operating Mode Sub-Band (VFO-B), mode USB
FB= Set Sub Band (VFO-B) frequency to 14225000 Hz
FT= Read transmitter status
I have tried to reduce the DELAY (260ms) in the rigfile but with all this data there are still some problems for the QSX commands at reduced DELAY times.
Simple commands such as clicking on a DX-cluster spot only for setting the frequency seems to accept a much shorter DELAY, say 15ms.
Baudrate in this test is 9600. With 38400 there are some hick-ups because in some QRX instances it looks as DX4WIN is sending the wrong Sub-band frequency.
The conclusion as of now is to use the rigfile FTDX9000v31 with the original delay setting and 9600 baud.
Above QSX takes abot 2,5 seconds to execute when the radio is changing from a different band. Out if this the combined DELAY is abt. 2000ms in total.
