Hi Bud, and the reflector...
I like to edit the country database by hand, too...
To add a new country, you may following these steps:
1) On the main menu: File > Databases > Countries
2) On the Country Editor: Country > Add, and then fill the fields in the
upper part of the window and those in the Details tab. Before going to any
other tab, click on Country > Update.
3) Click on the Mappings tab, then click on Mapping > Add, and add any
mapping prefix for the new country. You may press Ctrl-Insert or
Ctrl-Delete to insert or delete a line. Before going to any other tab,
click on Mappings > Update.
4) If you want to add some specific callsigns to the country, click on the
Callsigns tab, then click on Calls > Add, and add the callsigns. As before,
you may press Ctrl-Insert or Ctrl-Delete to insert or delete a line. Before
going to any other tab, click on Calls > Update.
5) Click on File > Check for Errors, to detect any error in the database.
If any (mostly overlapping of some prefixes), correct them before closing
the Country Editor.
6) Once satisfied with the changes, click on File > Save and Exit.
