John,
You must be kidding; you expect an email answer in less than 5 1/2 hours??
(See time stamps on your messages below)
Btw, the correct address for support is support at dx4win.com; not my personal email.
But to answer your question:
There are two ways to select QSOs in a date range.
1. Using a Selection
This is somewhat permanent; it stays around until you disable the Selection, choose
a different one or open the log.
2. Using a filter
Press F8 to specify the filter
(note all fields to be blank in the QSO Window)
Fill in the starting date and press Enter
EIther method will show the first QSO starting that day.
QSO Window | Labels | Set print flags
If there is no active filter (method 1) you will get a warning, but clicking Yes
will set the print flags.
To verify: Press F8 for a new filter and select 'Y' in label, press Enter
QSO Window | Filter | Count and you will get the number of QSOs
Press Esc to cancel the filter.
Hope this gets you going.
