Sent again with corrections Hi Hi :
Dear All,
First of all many thanks to all that assisted me, in particular Jim, I now
have it sorted. I had wrongly gone to export data from the main DX4WIN
window (you know, where you find preferences - setup parameters)and not the
Logbook window.
For those thinking of going down the LOTW route I thought I would share the
advice given to me:
1. It is necessary, in setup parameters, QSO tab, to have the label "box"
set to "Lab + Upl" or just "Upl".
2. From the logbook window, select "Export for LOTW", down load to a secure
sub directory and give it a name that means something, (e.g. maybe include
date of latest submission?). If you haven't exported before then the number
of entries should equal the log size! Upon completion you will be asked "if
it can put the date into the UPLOAD DATE field", say yes and all QSO's to be
sent to LOTW will be marked accordingly. Thus when you're ready for the next
upload, all previously submitted QSO will be ignored. Clever eh?!
I found I was ~1300 out, somehow earlier QSO's had not been marked for
upload. This can be corrected, on a global basis, by going (from the logbook
window), "labels" then "set upload flags". AGAIN I say this is for someone
who has not uploaded before!
Maybe before exporting to begin with, its worth doing a check to ensure all
your entries are correctly marked. Go into your original log. Use F8 to
search for "Upl=N" then Filter->Count. This is the number of QSO's to be
uploaded. Then search again for "Upl=Y" then Filter->Count. This is the
number of QSO's that have already been uploaded.
I am now awaiting my Digi Cert from LOTW/ARRL and I am set to be up and
running. Again thanks to Jim and all for their advice.

Subject: [Dx4win] LOTW
Hi All,
I am considering joining LOTW but need some assistance from all you experts!
>From within DX4WIN, I can export a file of my entire log in ADIF format.
This I then pass onto LOTW.
Later when I wish to send more QSO's how do I select calls made after a
previous download? Will DX4WIN know the last entry for that previous
download, or do I need to keep records? I assume I have to know that, say
all calls prior to call no 5000, have been submitted. How do I then export
data in ADIF format for all calls after 5000??
Appreciate peoples comments........
