[Dx4win] Need Comments

I am a fairly new ham and have elected to try to get into some of the digital modes.  I have an Icom 756 ProII and a HP pavilion laptop.  I have installed microham's box and it and its software seem to be working just fine.  I have also purchased the dx4win software but am having some problems.  Two at this time is that a file ie_Badid cannot be found and Radio error no 1 pops up, conflict with the "virtual" sear port since my computer only have USB inputs. Anyone got any suggestions?  Does anyone who has a similar setup live in the Raleigh, NC area? Thanks. Larry Royster, ki4fyr.
