QSO -> Multiple QSO Operations -> Set Group Number

You need to set up a search filter to narrow down the QSOs that will 
have the group number applied.  The group number should be created 
first in Filter -> Edit Group Names at which time you can give the 
group a meaningful name.

There is no way to add an automatic description, unless you are 
importing an ADIF file, in which case you could use a text editor on 
the ADIF file to add a COMMENT field to each record, i.e.:

         <COMMENT:12>RTTY ROUNDUP

In this case, the comment itself is 12 letters.
