Hi Wayne,
It sounds like you have two programs (DX4WIN and MMTTY) trying to open the same COM port.
In your DX4WIN prefs, on the RTTY tab, make sure RTTY device is set to NONE. Counter-intuitive, I know.
Then in the QSO window, Window -> MMTTY should bring it up and it should key based on the COM ports configured in MMTTY. DX4WIN doesn't know anything about RTTY signalling for FSK or PTT, it's just calling a software interface to the MMTTY program which does all the keying.

Subject: [Dx4win] MMTTY
I have MMTTY running fine by itself. No problems!
However with DX4WIN I RX fine and TX only when I clear out an error box
which states:
An exception has occurred:
i.e.. Open-Device already open.
Does anyone know what this is about?
As soon as I click on one of the TX boxes the error window pops up. If I
click Ok I can send F7 and ctlr F8 and F8 but all other buffers will not tx.
HMMMM????
MMTTY runs very well by itself but has this TX issue with DX4WIN or maybe my
system.
I don't know what it is.
Thanks and 73,
Wayne N2WK
