Art, why don't you input your audio from the computer to your AF IN on the
accessory socket instead of the mic input?
Regarding the colume control on the LINE IN of the soundcard, remember there
are a lot of uses of the soundcard in various people's hands. You have a
mic gain on the radio so that you can vary the modulation. You have a
volume control on the LINE IN of your soundcard for the same reason. YOu
also have a volume control on the MIC input for the same reason. Depending
on exactly what you are feeding to the soundcard, you will want to adjust
the strength of the input.
I'm also guessing you're feeding audio from the rig to the LINE IN of the
soundcard? That would be better done using the AF OUT of the ACC socket -
That would result in a constant signal not affected by your VOL control on
the rig.
