Typically, when you use a USB to serial interface, the software sets up a
virtual com port. You then set your software to use that virtual port - not
USB.

I was looking at USB to TTL communications cable. I know they also have USB
to Serial devices. Has any one tried to setup the radio for USB?  Can it be
setup for USB?  I know there are no choices or USB in the preferences.
