Hi Folks,

I'm looking for a few people to help test a new DX4WIN.CTY. This file doesn't
have any changes beyond those described on my web page:

    http://www.country-files.com/dx4win/history.htm

Thave been a log of changes to prefixes for Canada (VE), Asiatic Russia (UA9)
and callsigns for Antarctica (KC4). I want make sure I didn't make any
mistakes.

I would prefer testers that have logs going back to the 1970's or early 1980s.

Here is what you will need to do (it will only take a couple of minutes, and no
data will be lost):

- export your log into DX4WIN6 format (File -> Import/Export)
- exit DX4WIN
- move your existing DX4WIN.CTY file to a safe place
- unzip the attached file into your DX4WIN SAVE directory
- start DX4WIN
- create a new (empty) log (File -> New)
- import the .DXQ file into this empty log (File -> Import/Export)
- Use F8 to search for "Error" in the "Notes for this QSO" field
- bring up the logbook window, right-click to open the report
  editor and select the following fields:

  * Callsign
  * Date
  * Country
  * Zone
  * QSO Notes

- Right-click on the logbook window and save to a file.
- Send that file to me
- restore your old DX4WIN.CTY file

If you can help, please send me a private message and I'll send you the new
file. Cliff, K0CA did this and we did not find any significant mistakes.

Thanks & 73 - Jim AD1C
