Does anyone have a similar configuration running but using DX4WIN
instead of DXBase?
In my case, the radio would be an Orion instead of the Yaesu.

Page 20 of the BigIR manual shows the SteppIR RS-232 "Y" cable:
   www.steppir.com/pdf/biggir%20instruction%20manual%2024%20pages.pdf

I would use that in the CAT line between the microKEYER and the
FT-1000MP. The SteppIR connector labeled "Computer" will connect
to the FT-1000MP, the SteppIR connector labeled "Radio" will
connect to the DB9 from the microHAM cable.

Under normal conditions the SteppIR controller will not track
automatically when using DXBase logging software because DXBase
does not continuously poll the radio. microKEYER's polling will
enable tracking with DXBase and the SteppIR.
