Paul, it's very easy.

Once you have the VE7CC software running on your PC, edit your 
SAVE\DX4WIN.TCP entry and add this entry at the top of the file:

     F6EXV,localhost:7300

Then in DX4WIN, connect to that entry and you should be all set.
