[Dx4win] PSK 31 and Dx4win

Trying to run psk31 from Dx4win into a Dell Dimension 9100 with the standard onboard sound card. Using the AF out mini phone jack (hole 10) and  the Patch in phono jack (hole 11) of a Yaesu Ft1000d.
Having trouble sorting out the inputs on the computer or the sound card is not compatible?? Have used these connections from the radio on my old computer, not successful here.
Anyone done this with the standard onboard Dell sound card???
The info on the jacks on the Dell is not that great for me.
Any clues appreciated.
