Don, With the KAM or KAMPlus in the terminal mode,
at the command prompt, you type RTTY + "Enter" to get the KAM into the RTTY
mode.
Then %CT%M is the command for putting the TNC into the Transmit mode,
and %CE is the command to return to the Receive mode. You can program a
couple of function keys to do this for you, so you can just use one of the F
keys to TX and another to RX. I think this is what you are looking for?

Can any one tell me how to get rtty to tx useing a kam . Not mmtty, There is
a command in the edit function keys to turn on the transmitter and to turn
it off. I can't rember what it is....
