File -> Preferences -> QSO

Uncheck the box that says "Show Calendar at Startup"

Longpath is 180 degrees different from direct path.

Reciprocal is the beam heading of your station FROM THE OTHER STATION'S 
PERSPECTIVE.  Definitely not the same as longpath.
