[Dx4win] Contest import - how many of you?

Rick,

Very strange! First, if you imported adif file exported from your contest
log, DX4WIN should not even know whether it was a contest or not and what
were the rules!
I have imported several adif logs from my DX-peditions, having sometimes
repeated contacts, and had never a problem of such multiplication...

Subject: [Dx4win] Contest import - how many of you?

Hi all,

After playing around in the RTTY contest this past weekend, I decided to
import that log into DX4WIN. I'm glad that DX4WIN has the capability of NOT
saving your import until after you exit.

This particular contest allowed you to work the same station on the same
band as many times as you could but had a 3 qso in-between rule.

My log WOULD have looked like this had I kept the changes (callsigns are
faked to protect the innocent :)

2310Z K3ABC 40M RTTY 599 Joe MD
2310Z W5XYZ 40M RTTY 599 Frank TX
2310Z W2ZYX 40M RTTY 599 Tom NY
2311Z K3ABC 40M RTTY 599 Joe MD
Etc.

When I did this, I did a sort and found that I worked K3ABC (not real
callsign) 38 times on the same band!!! Now take that same call for the
contest on other bands, I and I have worked him a total of 84 times in a *4
hour contest!!*

My question, is how many of you have similar contacts? My log is getting
full because in RTTY (one of my favorite contests), I run into the same
'circle of contesters', so my same call window is filled. I guess I'm not
faulting DX4WIN as it is doing exactly what it is intended to do, that I am
faulting the 'weird contest rules'.

Thanks for letting me vent ;)

...contesting... where everyone is 599, but are asked for repeats.
