Marc, I also use both programs and I do this all the time.
Just open your exported ADIF in WordPad or whatever, and do a search and replace
(ctrl+H)
Replace <EOR> with:
<comment:xx>here goes your comment><EOR>
where XX = number of characters (including spaces!) in your comment tag.
Be sure to end the comment with <EOR>, as it is the "end of record" tag.
And be sure to preceed the number of characters by a colon (:).
Example:
<comment:25>OO4MA in ARRL DX SSB 2005<EOR>
To get rid frequency; do this: replace <freq with <brol
Because "brol" is not a recognised ADIF tag, DX4WIN will skip this and drop the info.
Note: Flemish users will know what brol is ;o)
To get rid of QSO numbers, also change <STX and <SRX to <brol
Then import. You will get some zone errors as both programs have a different view on
CQ zones. Therefore I delete all CQZ tags as well, and let DX4WIN decide. I guess
this has to do with CTY files, but I am not an expert on CTY matters...
Good luck!
