Thank you, Les. Note that the second paragraph above are Les' recommendations,
not mine.
- There is no need to merge your old log into an empty one, simply copy the
.DXL file from the old SAVE directory to the new SAVE directory.
- There are many errors in the old country files (early 2003 and before). If
you have a lot of custom exceptions (that you have been merging into each new
release), send me your DX4WIN.CTY and I'll merge them into the master database.
Otherwise, I recommend you just use the latest country file that's available
(the one from 7.01 installation, or see http://www.ad1c.us/dx4win/).
- If you do what Les suggests above, you should merge the country file BEFORE
importing the log, otherwise you will get import errors on callsign exceptions
that were in your old file but are not in the new one (yet).
