There is no ADIF field to transfer this information.  You'll have to update the
info manually.

I'm confused here.  If EQF is putting serial numbers in the ADIF IOTA field,
then there is a bug in EQF in how it exports to ADIF.  If the serial numbers
are part of the RTS field that EQF exports, then yes, you will get errors in
DX4WIN, but you can delete these errors by manually editing the notes for the
offending QSOs.  The error message tells you the serial number if you want to
manually move that serial number to the Rcvd field (to the right of RST)
