Tony, there are two schools of thought.
1. Always install/upgrade into the existing DX4WIN directory
2. Always install/upgrade into a new DX4W### directory
I prefer #2 but #1 certainly makes upgrading easier. Either way should work.
One think to keep in mind, at least this was true of older versions, if you
want to uninstall the old versions, do that FIRST before installing the new
version. Why? Each version installs a common port driver on your C:\
drive somewhere. If you install 6.04, then uninstall 6.03, that common
port driver will be uninstalled, and you'll have to install 6.04 again to
get it back.
