[Dx4win] Version 6.04 - My comments :)

Hi all,

After following the instructions I have 6.04 up and running.... almost. Here
are some observations and questions:
 
1. I had to figure out what the calendar thing was and how to turn it off. I
did figure it out after a bit of playing. Not in the quick start though. I'd
have to read more on that to decide if I like that feature of not.

2. It took several tries until I figured out that I needed to copy my .key
file over too. Not mentioned in the 'Upgrading from Previous Versions'
section.

3. I keep getting this little popup every time I start up DX4WIN:

Master File C:\Program Files\dx4w604\DX4WIN.MAS not found. No calls loaded.

I did a complete search on my hard drive and did not find anything.

4. The Call lookup is different than before. I have a QRZ CD that I have in
F:. It finds the CD, but instead of putting up the call's address, a box
pops up asking about DX Managers and something else. I need to play with
this a bit more, but it would be nice to figure this one out.

5. I notice that when I use a smaller then 8pt font, that some of the
Preferences option windows appear blank.

6. I would have thought that Merging the .INI file would save your windows
that you had open. Not a biggie, just that I had to click on them and they
came up in the previous spot where I had them. The Biggest grief was that
the Log Window did not retain my custom filter; i.e. It had fields on it
that I did not want to see and vice versa. Only took about 10 min. but it
was a minor inconvenience.

All in all, it went smooth and I look forward to playing with some more
features this weekend as the snows fly ;)
