[Dx4win] cw keying problem

I just reinstalled DX4WIN version 4.07 on a new computer.
I can't get the CW to send.  When I type in "X ENTER", the rig goes into transmit.  WHen I type on the keyboard the letters are echoed in the program, but the rig just stays in transmit and dosen't actually send the cw characters.
The LPT interface works because I can send using the CT program just fine.
ANy ideas?
