You are correct, sir.
In ver 6.03 it always opened in an unused area.  In ver 6.04 I had it 
opening where another window would cover it up.  It would appear only 
when I first opened it, then disappear when scrolling between QSO's. 
I now (with Jims probing) understand it was still there but hidden. 
It is now out in the open and working fine.
