[Dx4win] Radio via USB port?

Hi Todd,

I did this with a USB to four way serial port adaptor. As soon as the
adaptor was plugged into the USB port good old Windows XP detected it
and installed the necessary drivers. It then created COM Ports 3, 4, 5 &
6 for me.

I guess that when your mate plugs the adaptor in to the USB port,
windows will do the same for him and he will then be able to see the COM
port number via control panel/system properties/device manager!

A friend of mine has a laptop, CT-17, & 756 Pro with a serial to USB
cable 
converter (and DX4Windows of course).  Does anyone know how to setup the

radio interface with a USB port, or determine what port you are on?  Is
this 
even possible?  He doesn't have a serial port available on the laptop,
hence 
the USB cable.  I use a serial port so I've not run into this before so
I 
thought I'd poll the experience of the group.
