I have written on this subject several times. I have been using Iomega Automatic Backup for years, but I understand there are other cheaper (free) solutions. You want something that backs up in the background, either at regular intervals or every time the file changes. You don't want to have to rely on a button you push yourself, unless you are highly disciplined.

Subject: [Dx4win] Backups
Hi all,
We all know the importance of backing dada up, I use a USB stick to back
up DX4WIN for example. Does any one know of a utility that will
automatically back up date from various directories to another network
computer? I am thinking of save directory from DX4WIN plus dada
directories from other programs? (comps on XP)
