Last post on this subject. The information about UA9S and UA9W was taken
from my DX4WIN log. I still have my old WJ2O log on the hard drive and
looked at it. My last post is not as correct as I thought. I think DX4WIN
may have made a correction on some of the calls when I transfered them.

For ON6NIO - I only put the zone and oblast info in my WJ2O log AFTER the
QSL had been received. That info was taken from the card. At this time I
accept what DX4WIN prints. But, I still check the zone when / if I receive
a QSL card.

But, in looking at my WJ2O log files, I found the same confusion we have
been discussing.

For instance UA9SCD Orenburg Oblast 167 Zone 16 1979
                     UA9SHU Orenburg Oblast 167 Zone 17 1981

                      UA9WCQ Oblast 84 Zone 17 1980
                      UA9WOT Oblast 84 Zone 17 1990

I found this confusion in all the UA9S and UA9W calls I could locate.
So, who knows what is correct. In a contest I am going to take what the
other op sends me and hope for the best when it is scored. I don't use
DX4WIN in contests so it is not a problem. I will continue to check my QSL
card info against what is in the DX4WIN log and make a correction as needed.
