Bob,

I'll stat by confessing that I don't know squat about the W5XD keyer, but
....

I use DX4WIN's RTTY window to send ASCII out a serial port to MMTTY -- which
gives me macro and contesting support in RTTY. If that keyer expects ASCII,
have you tried treating it like a RTTY TNC?
