There is a potential to lose the log in the interval between your last QSO 
and when the scheduler runs.

With Automatic Backup, the backup copy is written immediately after the 
file changes, thus the loss interval is almost zero.

My data is certainly worth $40.  How much is *your* time worth in having to 
recreate something that was lost, or the emotional cost of losing it 
altogether?
