[Dx4win] CW Announce/External Speakers...Not

I have packet spots set to CW Announce.  I hear them but on the computer's internal speaker, not the external speakers, and I can't vary the volume.  If I change to Band/Mode/call I get the voice announcements in the external speakers and I can vary the volume of the announcements

Is there a way to get the CW Announce spots to play through the external speakers?  How?
