[Dx4win] Spot question

Group,

I'm using DX4WIN v5.03 (got 6.x but I'm working on my Procrastinators 
Award and haven't loaded it yet).

Have a question on the DX spot window. (BTW, my OS is Win98SE)

Here is the problem/question:

I hit F9, manually log the station I'm hoping to work, but don't yet hit 
"enter" to save/finalize it ('cuz I haven't worked him yet).

Once I work the station, I hit "Alt-A" to post on my friendly VHF local 
packet cluster. It goes out OK; I see it come back OK; that is, I see my 
spot appear in the spot window.

Then I change the Windows focus back to the logging screen so I can hit 
"enter" and save the QSO. That works fine.

BUT...as I hit enter, I see my spot in the spot window disappear before 
my very eyes...  Why? and what am I doing wrong?
