In the old way, Paul created a DOS batch file to access the database, piped
the output to a results file, parsed it and displayed it on the
screen. The DLL added the ability to call a function directly to do the
lookup, no DOS command line involved.

You can't. GOLIST is proprietary information in a proprietary format.

The QSL manager database is greatly improved from earlier versions of
DX4WIN. I'm working on it all the time, hope to put out an update in the
next couple of weeks. It will never be as good as GOLIST but it's
sufficient for a lot of people. I don't have the time or dedication that
John Shelton has, neither do I make any money off the data either.
