I believe that the signing function, which also does some encryption and
compression, is probably quite computationally "expensive". My logs aren't
nearly that big (I think I've got around 6,000 total), but it did take
quite a while to process the big initial chunk that I submitted.
Fortunately, computers are pretty good about just doing what they're told
without a human staring at the screen, so when I realized that it was going
to take a while, I went off and did something else. (Maybe even worked a
little DX! <grin>)
