Mike,
Each Icom radio has its own individual adress when controlled by serial data
through the CT-17 level interface. CT-17 will only pass data straight
through on all four connections simultaneously.

DX4WIN can only be configured to adress one Icom adress on radio 1 and 2.
That
means that you will have to have a specific *.INI file in DX4WIN to be
loaded at start up with the right adress for each Icom radio. DX4WIN can not
directly switch between Icom adresses according to which radio/band (2m,
70cm etc.) you wish to operate. Switching is possible only between Radio1
and Radio 2 with two COM-ports connected.

By the way, you will also need the hard to find Icom option UX-14 serial to
parallell data interface in each radio. There is a substitute by PIEXX on
the market. The product is UX-14PX at USD 139.-
