Well if Dick is now on a broadband connection he can just leave it on. I
use ve7cc which is just a great dx cluster and it has a keep alive, so I
leave my computer on and dx4win up and going so anytime I walk out here I
have the latest spots. Check out ve7cc.net which will explain how to set it
up in your dx4win spotting window.

I just went through the same thing. You need to then right click
on the spot window and select internet connection. The file
dx4win.tcp will pop up a selection to choose from. In my case I
wanted to use one that is new, W3LPL, so I added it. This is not
a convenient as a TNC though as you need to go through these
steps each time you start DX4WIN whereas a TNC will just listed
with out any prompting when DX4WIN starts.

I just got a high-speed Internet connection and coincidentally my
packet TNC
developed an intermittent and very annoying problem. I was
hoping that
changing my configuration to get DX spots from the Internet would
be simple
but I don't find much about it in the manual other than to select
TCP/IP in
the com port selection.
I am running version 5.02. Can someone supply the correct
configuration for
using the Internet and perhaps a couple of web site names I might
try?
Thanks,
Dick Wilson
