I found something very interesting.  In my country database, the location of 
Venezuela was 66.00W and 8.00N.  So, I changed the 66.00W figure to 67.00W 
and saved the changes.  Now Venezuela shows the correct heading and 
distance.

I don't know why there was a problem with the program reading the correct 
location values to begin with but it is fixed now.
