[Dx4win] Preferences for FT-847

Does it work OK with other software?  The reason I ask is that older 847's
have a problem in that you can only send the radio instructions.  It would
not send back anything to the computer.  This following link explains. 
I've not tried rig control via Dx4win, but my 847 works fine with WriteLog.
