The best way to deal with the Windows time zone is create your own zone.
Please find into your Windows install disk the file TZEDIT.EXE and run it.
You may either create your own time zone or edit an existing one. All your
time problems will be solved.

Subject: [Dx4win] Time Problems -- "QSO -- Add Real Time!"???
| Hi all --
|
| A newer user here --
|
| My computer's clock IS set to the exact, correct, WWV time --
| I have checked it and reset it several times --
|
| The computer's internal clock is therefore correct -- and I have it
| set to UTC time/Zulu time -- exactly as per WWV announcements.
|
| However, whenever I try to add a QSO "Real Time!", the time
| box always comes up exactly 1 hour off -- 1 hour ago --
|
| I cannot seem to find the place in the Preferences where I set my local
| time zone, as referenced in the "HELP" menu -- which I fear might be the
| problem -- the DX4WIN assumes I am in the wrong time zone thus off-setting
| my computer's internal clock by a negative one hour???
|
| Or, might this be a Day Light Savings Time internal problem?? (with the
one
| hour offset -- however, if that was the case, I should be seeing the time
| as a PLUS
| one hour, not a negative???--)
|
| Any suggestions?
|
| Where do I find the UTC off-set setting in the preferences menus??
|
| Thanks for any help -- suggestions --
