Hi Roger,
To me it looks like your DEVICE can't handle correctly the output from LPT
port
or doesn't switch like it is intended to work.

How it works,

WHEN RADIO1 is SELECTED and if 1/2 signal is selected, your LPT1 PIN 14 is
HIGH = + 5Volt
NOW SHIFT+CTRL+F12
AND RADIO2 is SELECTED also with 1/2 signal selected, your LPT1 PIN 14 is
LOW = 0 Volt
