[Dx4win] Serial port CW on XP

Hi,

I don't use rig control, but would like to use the CW keying window (ALT+K).

Is there a work around so that this can be done without telling DX4 that I'm
using rig control? I've tried telling it that my FT1000 is the rig to make
the CW work, but I always get a time out message after awhile.
