This -is- a little confusing - DX Hunter is a DOS program:

"*DXHUNTER is a DOS, shareware, freely distributable program for PC and
TNC modem (note: no BAYCOM modem support), for DX CLUSTER users.
You can run DXHUNTER in a DOS session simultaneously with your
favourite programs, such as your log: PIF and ICO files are included,
to use the program under Windows, so you'll not have to abandon your
dear old LOG program, when adopting DXHUNTER."

I run WIN2000SP3 and don't have this program on my computer at all (NO
DOS!). However, you can be easily confused on the Configure|Links screen in
DX Telnet where it refers to "DXHUNTER or external Log Path". Mine is set
to C:\DXTELNET\DUPER, and then DUPER is set to export to both WriteLog and
DX4WIN by the 2 paths:
C:\DXTELNET\DXT2WL\ and C:\DXTELNET\DXT4WIN\. If you only want to export to
DX4WIN, you can do it as described with DUPER, OR you can just enter
C:\DXTELNET\DXT4WIN\ as the "DXHUNTER or external Log Path". Be sure you
run the DXT4WIN program, an easy step to omit!

I use DUPER because that way I am covered, whether running DX4WIN -or-
WriteLog -OR BOTH-! (I don't have to ever edit the path that way.)

DX Telnet might have to be in the C:\DXTELNET directory - I'm not sure about
that. However, it's the default install directory, and I just accepted
that, and it works.

DOS IS DEAD! (Well.......) You shouldn't need the DX Hunter program at all
these days.

I find DX Telnet unparalleled in features; free upgrades for life; Fab
will answer your questions! Although I don't use it all that often, paging
me on my pager for my favorite DX spots (often friends in contests) is a ton
of fun! 73 - John, WA9ALS
