Ric,
I've not tested it for very long strings, say perhaps 20 or so, but it
shouldn't make a difference since the text is taken out of a standard MFC
edit box.
Also I made a mistake on the name of the ZIP file. It should have been
ADIFTools.zip. It will be obvious to any one going there, but I do feel
chagrined about it! ;-)

Interesting Ric,
I use logic5 and when I import an ADIF from WL is gives you the opportunity
to add
a short field, I think it's 8 or 10 characters, for contest id, such as
ARRLCW02 or the like, but it isn't as flexible as your alternative.
