[Dx4win] Reports blanked out after contest

Hi Margaret

I also used Writelog during the ARRL CW and Phone DX Contests. I would do a
search of your computer for *.wl to find all of your writelog logs. They
should be about 70K or so in size for 300 contacts.

Open Writelog, and it will ask if you want to use a current log, which it
keeps listed or start a new one. Use a current one if one is available in
the list. If one is not listed, then use the open command to find the ones
you already have saved and found with the search *.wl. WriteLog is pretty
forgiving and keeps a copy of all unsaved contacts, so it is kind of hard to
lose a log during a contest, but hope you did save your log at the start of
the contest.

If you find the log and can look through it and find all of your contacts,
use the export command to export a Cabrillo file which will be in test
format. If you are able to do that, you should be able to create a summary
report, although the Cabrillo file contains your score and all of the data
needed to derive the other reports.

You should also export a ADIF formatted copy of your log and you can then
get most of the data into your DX4WIN logbook. It will not do the exchange
(Power) or the exact frequency in the notes without a lot of mumbo jumbo
(unfortunately). The import filter for WriteLog is not really useful, but
the import ADIF gets the main data from the contest logs.

Hope your WriteLog logfiles are ok and you are able to recover all the data
from the contests. The WriteLog site has a very detailed help file that you
can download and print and it is a pretty good manual for the software.

Subject: [Dx4win] Reports blanked out after contest

Help. I'm having a problem. I just worked ARRL DX contest with Write
Log. Now I find that I don't have any report.s. The Parameter setting
shows no score - is a blank, also no Multiples showing, and nothing on a
Summary Report.
I did look at 'Edit QSO Exchange Fields' and nothing was checked off
except Print. Is this where I goofed. !
This is where I admit , that having had no Manual and also no move by move
instruction on how to set things up before a contest - I have
optimistically assumed that it was done for me automatically with each
contest. I have done several contests before this one.
I worked quite hard for my 330 contacts (tear!) Margaret
